Plastic Bag Exchange at Farmers’ Market

The Township will be distributing reusable shopping bags at this Saturday’s Farmers’ Market as part of our Pitfalls of Plastic program. Anyone who brings their used plastic shopping bags can exchange them for a reusable shopping bag. You MUST bring plastic shopping bags to receive the free reusable bag.

The shopping bags are funded by a Clean Communities Grant.

The Pitfalls of Plastic Program is designed to encourage residents to use reusable shopping bags and educate them about the financial and environmental impact of plastic bags. The program is being spearheaded by Councilman Jim Fozman and the Township’s Recycling Coordinator.

Mayor John G. Ducey is pleased to announce that residents can discard of construction materials at the Public Works Recycling Center, 836 Ridge Road, on Saturday, October 21.
