2018 Animal License Renewals

All dogs and cats, 7 months or older, in the Township of Brick, must be licensed for 2018 during the month of January. A certificate of Rabies vaccination must be presented, and must be current through November, 2018 for a one year license or November, 2020 for a three year license.   Also, if your dog and/or cat has been spayed or neutered, you must present a statement from the veterinarian.

Licenses may be obtained either by mail or at the Municipal Building, 401 Chambers Bridge Road, Monday through Friday between 9am and 4pm. Exact change, check or credit (no American Express). If requesting by mail, please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope.


  • One year spayed/neutered animal:                  $10.00
  • One year non spayed/neutered animal:           $13.00
  • Three year spayed/neutered animal:                $26.00
  • Three year non spayed/neutered animal:         $35.00

There is an administrative charge of $1.00 per month for any dog or cat registered after January 31st of each year.

Township Seeks Candidates for Superintendent of Public Works

The Township of Brick is seeking an experienced professional with technical knowledge and strong leadership skills to effectively manage and guide the Department of Public Works. The position entails planning, supervising and directing all aspects of public works including, but not limited to: Sanitation/Recycling, Roads, Parks, Building and Grounds, In-House Construction, Fleet Maintenance, snow removal, capital improvements.

A collaborative and open minded individual will be a good fit for this position. The candidate must be proficient in customer service, budgeting, planning, and personnel management skills.

At a minimum, candidates must have 5 years of experience in the administration and supervision of municipal public works. Candidates must possess a valid Certified Public Works Manager Certification. A valid NJ driver’s license is required.

Recreation Seeks Summer Camp Director Candidates

Brick Township Recreation is seeking candidates for the position of Summer Camp Director for summer 2018.

The Summer Camp Director is responsible for the administration and supervision of staff and campers.  The Director oversees and has responsibility for all camp activities.

Camp Director works with Recreation April – June to prepare for the camp.  Camp dates are June 25 – August 7, 2018.  Director’s daily hours are 8am – 4pm.

2018 Beach Badges on Sale December 1

2018 Beach Badges and season parking passes are on sale starting Friday, December 1 at the Brick Township Recreation Office, 270 Chambers Bridge Road.  Badges are $25 each and season parking is $30.

Badges and parking passes are sold during regular office hours, Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4pm.  Recreation accepts cash, checks, money orders and Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discovery (there is a convenience fee for using credit cards).

Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan Survey

The Township of Brick Mayor and Council and the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs Local Planning Services office are preparing a bicycle and pedestrian master plan for the Township. The plan will identify and help to prioritize strategies that will increase the number and frequency of people walking and bicycling within the Township as well as increase safety and connectivity for all road users. The plan will provide recommendations for improving the connectivity, safety, convenience, and attractiveness of the Township’s pedestrian and bicycle networks. If you live in or around Brick Township, we want to hear from you!

Your input is critical to help develop a plan that addresses the needs of people on foot and on bike in neighborhoods across the Township. We’re looking for responses from anyone who lives or works in Brick Township or the municipalities which it borders. The following survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete and will be available online for several months. Information collected will be confidential and used solely for developing the Township of Brick Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan.
