For the first time since 1994, there were no SummerFest concerts at Windward Beach in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Mayor John G. Ducey and the Township Council are excited to announce that the SummerFest Concert Series presented by Pine Belt Motors will RETURN in July. This year’s series features four great concerts – each followed by fireworks – as well as a number of family-friendly events.

“We are thrilled that SummerFest will be returning to Windward Beach Park this July. It is one more step in the journey back to normal,” said Mayor Ducey. “While we were disappointed that last year’s series was cancelled, we all know it was the right thing in light of the crisis we were in. Now, we are ready to make up for lost time and have the best SummerFest yet!”

Brick Township’s SummerFest 2021 presented by Pine Belt Motors will kick-off on Thursday, July 1 with a concert by Super Trans Am. This will be their first appearance at SummerFest. Super Trans Am will be playing all of your favorite arena anthems and chart-topping radio hits of the 1970’s from artists such as Eagles, Hall & Oates, Queen, the Doobie Brothers, Foreigner, KISS, Boston, Journey and more!

On Thursday, July 8, the Amish Outlaws will make their return to the SummerFest stage. The Outlaws became a SummerFest crowd favorite through their energetic performances. The Amish Outlaws perform an eclectic mix of music and the crowd is always guessing what will come next.

The Nerds – America’s Rock & Roll Fun-omenon – will rock the SummerFest stage on July 15. The Nerds have been together since 1985 and have played all over North America. When you attend a Nerds show, you will enjoy an experience of sheer entertainment with what critics call the best cover band in the world.

The SummerFest 2021 Concert Series concludes on July 22 with a Tribute to the 80’s and 90’s. This show will feature two sets – one with 80’s Nite and the best hits of the 1980’s and one featuring Nine Deeez Nite – the Nation’s #1 90’s Tribute Show. Check it out to see which decade’s music is the champ!

SummerFest concerts are held at Windward Beach Park and begin at approximately 7pm. Fireworks will follow each concert.

A food court is open during concerts and features a variety of foods. There is also a beer and wine garden for guests over the age of 21. A valid ID is required to enter the beer and wine garden.

As with previous SummerFests, a complimentary shuttle bus service will be available for all concerts. Shuttle buses will run from 5pm until 8pm from Brick Township High School, Drum Point Elementary School, Veterans Memorial Middle School and Brick Memorial High School. Return trips from Windward Beach begin at 9pm and continue until all guests are returned to their pick-up locations.

Shuttle bus patrons will be required to comply with state requirements in place at the time of the concerts regarding masks and social distancing.

Anyone planning on attending SummerFest 2021 concerts are encouraged to utilize the shuttle bus service as parking at Windward Beach is limited and fills up quickly. Using the shuttle bus service helps alleviate traffic congestion on Princeton Avenue.

“We expect this year’s SummerFest to be one of – if not the – best attended yet,” said Mayor Ducey. “Everyone is ready to get out of the house and have fun and we expect large crowds.”

In addition to the concerts, SummerFest 2021 will feature several family-friendly events. These events are:

  • August 5 – SummerFest Car Show hosted by the Time Capsule Cruisers
  • August 6 – Drive-In Movie featuring Back to the Future
  • August 13 – Drive-In Movie featuring Abominable
  • August 20 – Drive-In Movie featuring The Avengers
  • August 27 – Drive-In Movie featuring Tom and Jerry

The Car Show begins at 6pm. The food court will be open during the car show.

Drive-In Movies begin at dusk.
