The Office of the Business Administrator is responsible for numerous tasks related to municipal operations, including but not limited to working with the Mayor and Council to formulate the Municipal and Capital Budgets, overseeing various Township Capital Projects and working with the State of New Jersey, County of Ocean, Board of Education, Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority in an effort to create an even better community for our residents. Administration is also responsible for managing the activities of all municipal departments and divisions on a daily basis.

Joanne Bergin is the Business Administrator of Brick Township.  As Business Administrator, Ms. Bergin’s powers and duties are outlined in the Brick Township Administrative Code.


The Office of the Business Administrator is also responsible for approval of:

  • Modular Home – for approval of staging modular homes on township property
  • Blue Lights – for vehicles for volunteer fire company members
  • Parking Placards – for residential parking on streets near high schools that have parking restrictions
  • Rentals & Usage of (non-Recreational) equipment and facilities
