The Human Resources Office is responsible for the management of the employees of the Brick Township Municipal Government. The Township of Brick participates in the New Jersey Civil Service System and as such all procedures regarding employment are dictated by New Jersey Civil Service Rules. Safety and Insurance is a component of the Human Resources Office. Safety and Insurance is responsible for the management of all non-health related insurance policies and programs for the township including workers compensation. The Risk Manager investigates all claims made against the township for incidents involving township property, employees and assets.

ASSISTANT MUNICIPAL TAX COLLECTOR – The Township of Brick is seeking a highly motivated and experienced municipal tax professional to assist in the administration of the Tax Collector’s Office. Responsibilities include assisting with preparation of tax sale and foreclosures, county updates, MOD IV changes regarding sub-divisions and consolidations, review of state reports and monthly reconciliation reports, statutory requirements and deadlines, and review/updating of bid specifications for billing.
The candidate must be detail oriented, accurate, self-directed and able to maintain the strictest confidentiality when necessary. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Familiarity with H & L Software and Microsoft Office is preferred.
A minimum of two years of experience with municipal tax collection required. A current, valid Tax Collector’s certificate required.

CLERICAL – MEDIA SPECIALIST/TEEN ADVISOR – The Township of Brick is seeking a highly motivated, energetic and experienced Media Specialist/Teen Advisor. This employee will serve as a confidential assistant to the Mayor and as a mentor and role model for local adolescents. They will attend all events, functions, and meetings with the Mayor. They will coordinate with media outlets and generate social media content. They are responsible for planning and implementing quality teen programs. They will be responsible for meeting program goals, recruiting teen participants, advertising, and preparing reports. They will be required to assist in fund raising endeavors and ensure the health and safety of participants. They will be the conduit that connects with elementary and high school students in Brick Township, and assist in generating ideas on activities and programs that enhance their lives. They play a key role in the operation of Lounge 270, the Brick Township Teen Center located on Chambers Bridge Road. They work directly with the Mayor and Administration to bridge the gap between the local government and the youth in Brick Township.
