The Human Resources Office is responsible for the management of the employees of the Brick Township Municipal Government. The Township of Brick participates in the New Jersey Civil Service System and as such all procedures regarding employment are dictated by New Jersey Civil Service Rules. Other duties of the Human Resources Office include the management of employee health benefits, retiree benefits and insurance issues, the coordination of workplace seminars and education sessions. Safety and Insurance is a component of the Human Resources Office. Safety and Insurance is responsible for the management of all non-health related insurance policies and programs for the township including workers compensation. The Risk Manager investigates all claims made against the township for incidents involving township property, employees and assets. BUS ATTENDANT – The Township of Brick is seeking applicants able to perform the duties of a bus attendant for our senior services department. The position monitors passenger conduct and provides assistance to bus passengers including, but not limited to assisting passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle. Other responsibilities include walking individuals short distances, providing special assistance by operating lift mechanisms, ensuring passenger safety, maintaining cleanliness of the bus, and performing related work as required.
The candidate must be responsible, patient, and caring. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Two years’ experience with the senior population or medical aid experience preferred, but not required.
