The Human Resources Office is responsible for the management of the employees of the Brick Township Municipal Government. The Township of Brick participates in the New Jersey Civil Service System and as such all procedures regarding employment are dictated by New Jersey Civil Service Rules. HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING MECHANIC – The Township of Brick is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Heating and Air Conditioning Mechanic. The position entails maintaining, repairing, assembling, and installing different types of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning units.
At a minimum, candidates must have three (3) years of experience in work involving the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning units. The candidate must possess a valid Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician Certification (Universal) issued by the Federal Environmental Protection Agency. PROGRAM COORDINATOR, AGING/DISABILITES – The Township of Brick is seeking a highly motivated and experienced full-time Program Coordinator, Aging/Disabilities (PCAD). This position functions as the department head of the Township Senior Services Program. This position reports to the Business Administrator. The PCAD has full authority, responsibility, and accountability for all senior services functions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: overseeing/supervising all senior services employees, programs and outreach; handling all related grant applications; creating the department budget; ensuring efficient and proper use of all funds; developing and implementing senior programs; coordinating with community organizations. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, accurate, and self-directed with superior organizational skills. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Familiarity with Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. Director/Head Teacher (Early Childhood Programs) – The Township of Brick is seeking applicants able to perform the duties of Director/Head Teacher for all Township Early Childhood Programs. The position entails overseeing programs, managing teachers, observing and evaluating staff members, coordinating staff training, assisting with licensing, and completing required reporting. Other duties include leading activities, engaging with children and interacting with parents. Early Childhood Programs include Bright Start, First Time on My Own, Junior Bright Start, Jumpstart, and Mom/Dad & Me. These programs are offered for children from one to five years old. Candidates must have a Master’s degree in any field related to children or business and one year of teaching experience and six (6) credits in Early Childhood OR a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Health Care, Nursing or any field related to Child Growth and Development and two years of teaching experience OR a Teaching Certification (Elementary, Nursery, Preschool-Grade 3, or Teacher of the Handicapped) and two years of teaching experience.
