Brick Township Senior Services is offering complimentary door-to-door transportation to the Brick Farmers Market for residents ages 60 and over on the Brick Senior Shuttle. Transportation will begin on Saturday, May 14 and continue on an every-other-week basis until the conclusion of the market season on September 24.

The Senior Shuttle will pick riders up at their homes, bring them to the market and provide them with ample time to visit all vendors before beginning the return trip home.

The Brick Farmers Market is held every Saturday from May 7 through September 24 at Windward Beach Park and is open from 8:30am until 1:30pm. There are over 50 vendors signed up for this year’s market. This is the eighth summer of the Market which was started in 2015 by Mayor John G. Ducey and the Township Council.

The Brick Senior Shuttle is an initiative of Mayor Ducey and the Township Council that began in 2019. The Senior Shuttle provides free transportation to the Senior Center, shopping areas and more to residents ages 60 and over. The Township acquired two wheelchair-accessible buses for the program. One was acquired through a grant and the other purchased by the Township.

The service is available to all residents ages 60 and over. Anyone wishing to utilize the Senior Shuttle should call Senior Services at 732-920-8686 at least two days prior to the market. Seating is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
